Laugh Out Loud this Monday to Reduce Stress

Your body loves to laugh. When you’re stressed, a good laugh can physically destress you. For some relief, try unwinding with laughter this Monday.

  1. Take a few deep breaths to settle yourself, then start laughing. You can think of something funny or just laugh for no particular reason!
  2. Pay attention to the physical sensation of laughing and how it affects your mood.
    Sit quietly for a few minutes to reflect on your experience.
  3. Set an intention to bring humor to your interactions with others and notice how contagious it can be!

Science agrees, our bodies react wonderfully to a good guffaw by increasing endorphins, blood flow, and oxygen, which can also give you some much-needed relaxation.
